Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Students Exempted from Hotel QuarantineÌý

QualificationsÌý

It was announced by the Canadian Government in February 2021 that international studentsÌýarriving in Canada alone from another countryÌýare exemptedÌýfrom having to quarantine in a hotel.ÌýÌý Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ studentsÌýunder the age of 22Ìýarriving in Canada alone meet the criteria stated under the Canadian Government’s Orders in Council 2021-0075 Section 3,ÌýSubsection (1.2) (a) of beingÌýan unaccompanied dependent child, andÌýareÌýthereforeÌýexemptÌýfrom the hotel stopoverÌýportion of the quarantine.Ìý

OnÌýArrival to theÌýPort ofÌýEntryÌý

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ students are provided with supporting documents from our Admissions Office for presentation to the Canadian Border Service Agency officials at the port of entry.Ìý Upon arrival at the airport:ÌýÌý
  • Students will receive a free COVID-19 test and a test kitÌýtoÌýuse in 10 daysÌýÌý
  • StudentsÌýwill thenÌýproceed to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Residence designated for quarantine.Ìý

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Planning for Full In-Person Learning in Fall 2021Ìý

With the vaccine roll out picking up speed in Ontario and the rest of Canada, we are now looking forward, with confidence and optimism, to reopeningÌýour campus for full in-person learning in August 2021.ÌýÌý

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ is actively planning for the safe return to a full in-person curricular and extracurricular schedule for students at our campus in Hamilton, Ontario.ÌýÌý

Remote learningÌýoptions shall remain available to students who are waiting for their Study Permit or living in countries where there is restriction on departure for travelling overseas.Ìý
